The relentless efforts of the AIC Team during the summer halt have led to extraordinary outcomes, with the recent and successful restart of production in 20 plants – steel/rolling mills –, both for greenfield and revamping projects.
These facilities are strategically located in Europe (Sweden, France, and throughout Italy), North America (Florida and Michigan) and India (West Bengala), serving renowned clients of the industry.
American projects have faced the wire rod line integration and drives upgrade for stands.
In the Indian context, conversely, the efforts have been centered on the new high-speed bar discharge system.
The European activities encompassed power control and automation interventions, including software upgrades, as well as the development of new mechatronics systems. Among the latter, there are new innovations for labelling and marking sheets, labelling billets, plus an up-to-date robotic stacker, and a novel mechatronic roll head tracking system.
Additionally, the company embarked on its first-ever project in the wood industry, developing the software (PLC, Level 2, and the entire tracking system) for a state-of-the-art automated wood impregnation system.
A key element of these achievements was the Team's ability to ensure that the E&A was operational from the very first day of production. This efficiency minimized plant downtime, enabling clients to resume production swiftly and seamlessly.
"We are immensely proud of the results achieved this summer," declared Marco Capitanio, Managing Director of the AIC Group. "This underscores our unwavering commitment to excellence and our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions on an international scale. We will continue to work with passion and dedication to succeed in the upcoming challenges.".
