AIC has established fruitful and long-lasting collaborations with Higher Technical Institutes and Italian Universities (Universities of Brescia and Udine in primis) through the Talent Development & Acquisition area, as evidenced by numerous awards.

Internships are promoted and organized with an eye toward the School-Work Alternate and curricular internships in the company for the development of school projects or degree theses.

SCHOOL-WORK ALTERNATION


This a special chance for Upper Secondary School students who are wrapping up their education and need to get the orientation they need for future careers and studies.

We train young people and make them aware of the occupational sector they want to enter thanks to a course that typically lasts 180-250 hours and starts in the upper 3 grades. We, therefore, welcome them into the business during regular school hours, and with the help of a reference tutor, we choose a few activities for them to perform (improving their level of difficulty and independence step-by-step).

| Design of a controller for a mill shredding process

The purpose aimed to design a closed-loop control system whose function is to help or substitute the human operator when necessary, controlling the speed of the conveyor according to the mill's current consumption. The main objective was to optimize the shredding process by creating an automatized routine, which could be able to control the process automatically by keeping the mill current in a desired optimal range.

Francesco carried out an internal analysis on AIC personnel, going to analyze the theme of sustainability and well-being in the various areas, through qualitative and quantitative surveys that made it possible to implement corrective and improvement actions.

"Design and implementation of a SCADA system for industrial furnaces" and "Designing and development of a robotic cell for steel bars tagging" were the projects argued, linked with the time spent and the knowledge learned within the AIC Group!

The proposed project has the purpose of realizing from a mechanical perspective first and from an automation point of view later, a plant for the stacking of steel bars of different shapes and sizes at a customer plant, in Vicenza.  

The project spreads over about five months among engineering of the mechanical structure, sizing of motors and reducers, development of specific gripping tools, manufacturing of the components and engineering and implementing of the software.
